'Urban Pest' mix media installation 2024

'Urban Pest' is a series of stop-motion animations and installation which is due to be  installed at Bath Spa Universtiy , Locksbrook Campus. the work is part of the degree show which is taking place on 14th to 22nd June 2024. 

'Urban Pest' explores the urbanisation of wild animals from a futuristic lens. the installation delves into concept of urban exploiters, such as the rat, racoon, pigeon along with an array of bugs adapting to city life by consuming food from its streets. Through this transformation, the animal's  become anthropomorphic figures, symbolizing their resilience and evolution within the urban environment. The piece explores the intersection of nature and urbanization, offering a futuristic perspective on how wildlife adapts and thrives from human domination. Foster-Eardley's artwork puts the animal at the forefront and through its satirical lens makes us look deeper at the wildlife that inhabits our city's.
